High-definition home theater, meet high-definition audio. Renowned audio authority Dr. Joseph D'Appolito has produced another high resolution loudspeaker masterpiece. Dr. D'Appolito chose the Usher 9950C-15 tweeter and Usher 8836AC woofer because of their smooth response, linearity, and low distortion, and his careful integration of components ensures excellent dispersion and exceptionally smooth off-axis response in both the horizontal and vertical planes. Lay these versatile speakers on their sides for HT center channel applications or stand them up vertically for all other uses. The UA721 speaker will excel in music, home theater L/R, and center channel applications. Its 1.0 cu. ft. enclosure and dual Usher woofers deliver bass that satisfies the most critical hi-fi requirement. For higher SPL/lower frequency demands, add a Dayton subwoofer system for the ultimate music playback or home theater experience.  Dayton Audio designed its loudspeaker kits to offer the speaker-building hobbyist truly high-end sound quality and aesthetic appeal. They are available in a choice of three beautiful exterior surfaces (cherry, maple, and gloss black) and two styles (straight- or arc-sided), and are sure to blend with any decor. You will realize substantial savings by assembling them yourself.

The process requires a beginning knowledge of electronics, but does not require expensive tools or measurement equipment. No soldering required! The woodworking has been done; all that remains is to secure the drivers and ports, attach damping materials, and connect the pre-assembled crossovers to the drivers. This can usually be accomplished with a screwdriver, some sealant, and an hour of construction time.
