Vivid™ 120 in. Motorized Matte White Projection Screen w/ White Aluminum Housing & Remote Control, HDTV (16:9)
A great projector is nothing if it isn’t combined with a surface-display of equal performance. Vivid™ projector screens bring you the optimal level of performance with a High Contrast Matte White Screen Material that descends smoothly via a motor within white aluminum housing. The 16:9 ratio matches current video/projection formats and eliminates image over-scan and black bars. The completely motorized design makes this screen the perfect, versatile solution for home theaters as well as commercial installations.
Picture Perfect
Our screens are full of features, but what matters most is the picture quality. That’s why we use Matte White Screen Material enriched with micro-diamond patterns that allow for ultra-wide viewing – 170° to be exact. These microgrooves also help to produce a sharp, sophisticated image resolution with more than 125 line pairs per millimeter. Additionally, the 1.0 gain material ensures no hot-spots and provides the truest picture possible.
Multi-Layered Screen
This screen is constructed of four bonded layers to provide maximum visual efficiency in a flexible, compact design that will endure continuous compression and coiled storage within the aluminum motorized housing. The first layer is crafted of PVC and provides a smooth backing which protects the screen as it is rolled back onto itself. The second is made of a woven fiberglass that forms the flexible structural core and prevents wrinkling and stretching of the screen. The third consists of an additional sheet of PVC, to add strength and create a sleek surface for the finishing section. The fourth and final layer is an embossed, acrylic coating which increases gain and makes up the face of the screen. The combination of these layers creates a dependable surface upon which the image itself can be luminously projected.
Fabric Features
Now that we’ve outlined the construction of the screen, let’s highlight the benefits achieved by this superior design. The multi-layered screen construction ensures an almost non-existent stretch factor (less than 1%) which increases the longevity and overall flatness of the screen; there is no image distortion due to curling. Color accuracy is optimized because reflected light is evenly distributed (and with less than 60K difference between incident angle and reflection angle). This also means that the screen can handle a wide color range with high contrast processing that doesn’t sacrifice color accuracy – talk about a Vivid™ picture!
Control Options
Customizable options are just one of the many perks of this Vivid™ screen. Now you can specify exactly how you would like to control screen operation with the most popular types: RS-232 (perfect for integration into popular systems), IR, 12V trigger, and contact input (which includes a dry contact closure input).
IR Control
A case-mounted IR receiver and remote is included for instantaneous control. For discrete mounting out of sight, an external IR receiver is also included for plug and play control.
12V Trigger
If your projector or AV receiver is utilizing a 12V output, you have the option to sync the descent/ascent of the screen to the powering on/off of that device! To this end, we’ve included a 30’ cable to connect the two components. For a wireless solution, use the VFS12VT (sold separately).
Convenient Mounting Options
The mounting brackets on the back of the aluminum housing slide horizontally to match different installation positions such as wall mount, ceiling mount, or even ceiling hang. These brackets are maneuverable and allow you to perfectly position the screen before making the commitment of tightening the screws. This makes for a more flexible, customizable installation to fit nearly any location.
Speedy (and Silent) Operation
The Motorized Vivid™ Screen is a sleek addition to both presentation and entertainment areas. It features a tubular motor that is quiet, efficient, and boasts an average descent time of 18 seconds.
